What would you say the ultimate creek kayak would be? I would like to the the ultimate, so that I don't have to get another one for a good few years.

Depends on the creek.If it's a rocky creek with places that will need to be portaged I would go with a short poly.

I use a riot sprint in rocky areas and ponds etc and have my Whiskey 16 for larger waters only.

My wife got a Oldtown kayak brand new for 800 bucks brand new.No rudder no skeg.A nice comfortable stable rec boat.

If you live in a land that itsnt a icebox head down to a FEW dealers with a notepad and shop around.Saying your looking for a new kayak in the spring takes the sale pressure off.
