Hi, this is off the official topic of this group but I know some people here won't mind an occasional diversion ashore. I'm curious if there's a trail(s) that runs along the escarpment from Luskville all the way to the western sector of the park. Trail #1 (Ridge?) runs from parkway system to the top of Luskville trail and ends there. I saw an unmarked trail starting in the westerly direction from the fire tower but did not have time to try it yet. I tried it once from the other end once (Eardley road) and made it roughly half way to a small ridge over two small lakes which I identified as Jumeaux but not absolutely sure about that. I lost the trail there (which was becoming so faint that it was only identifiable by occasional marks on trees) and it was time to go back. Just wondering is there a single trail going all the way? Is it possible to make it both ways in a day? Thanks,

There are many trials west of the firetower, including one that keeps pretty much to the edge of the escarpment. I should warn you, though, that you will find many of them difficult to follow because they are only marked by occasional yellow paint blazes on the trees.
For this reason, you must take with you a large-scale map and a compass (and be able to use them well!). The result of not doing this in one case was told in a copy of the Ottawa Outdoors magazine last year. A party of three got lost because they had neither map nor compass with them, spent the night out on the escarpment and wasted many hours of people's time who had to go out and search for them. Don't repeat their gross folly!
Take care,
