I think my kids are old enough to start joining me in some of my Kayaking trips , I was wondering if any of you take your kids and what kind of precautions do you use, and how you started.
Thanks

Are you able to share the general types of trips you are thinking about. And, if you are comfortable, sharing the general age ranges of the prospective new paddlers. Is a tamdem Kayak involved or just solo kayaks?

A touch more information might help people figure out if they have something meaningful to share.

pending the child's maturity - i would say five for flatwater paddling. my son has been paddling for a year and is now comfortable on class one (with Dad there.)

have fun,
KJ
