Hi, Is anybody interested in canoe/kayak sailing? I've built my rig for the canoe last fall and already have been on the Ottawa river twice this month. Before trying it I was thinking nothing is more fun that fishing, I was wrong. Cheers

I tried to glue a piece of plastic pipe to the bottom of the canoe to hold the mast but it wouldn't hold. Any ideas on how to fasten someting to bottom of the canoe (fiberglass)?

An interesting discussion this. I am researching a decked sailing canoe my father-in-law owned. It was built in the 1930s and is equipped for mast and sails fore and aft. To see a posting with pictures, go here: http://forums.wcha.org/showthread.php?p=1284#post1284
My research has shown there are many clubs for this class of boat, both in the US and Britain. You just never know until you go looking.
