I am interested in paddling the Rideau canal for several days with inexperienced paddlers and non-campers. We would like to paddle for three to four hours per day and then stop at Inns or B and B's along the route. We won't have transportation other than walking so we would need to be close to restaurants etc. The balance of the days could be spent walking and or browsing around the towns. A shuttle back to our car will be needed at trips end. Any suggestions about what stretch to paddle, where to stay (nice accommodations), where to eat and how to get back to our vehicle??

Check out http://www.bbcanada.com/on.cfm?region=Ontario_East

You'll have to poke around to find some near the Rideau Canal.
