i have an old 17' fiberglass canoe that i would like to redo, can i recover it in kevlar cloth and would it add a lot of weight? i paddle anything from lakes to class 111 whitewater.

Why don't you use fiberglass cloth?

looking to keep it light but bulletproff,had canoe for 15 yrs-its been approx 3000 miles on water from flat water lakes to class III whitewater. not redy to retire boat. wondering if i can use kevlar when refurbising?
