I am preparing to re-cane the seats of my canoe, which I have never done before. I have looked for website info with limited luck. I would appreciate info on Canadian website addresses where a person can find how-to instructions and material ordering info.

Thanks Derek Specht

Contact a builder of traditional canoes.

Q: Do you want to weave cane seats, or install sheet caning.

Gil Gilpatrick's book on Building a Strip Canoe has a chapter on caning seats. The book cost about $10 (US).
