Planning Your Route With Google Earth From Your Home

I’ve just realized that I can use Google earth to plan my trips!

I was reading the trip report of Michael from the Canadian Ckayaker blog who is doing a really beautiful route on the Philip Edward Island when I saw the picture of his route on Google Earth.

I’ve just installed Google Earth so I had very little experience with it but I’ve would never thought to use it to plan my kayaking trips. I think that I usually make short trips on areas that I know so I had no need for such a map before but doing a long trip it seems almost natural.

I love reading the travel story of fellow kayakers because I am a sucker for the beautiful scenery and always learn new things. So thank you Michael for this new and very helpful idea.
