The Donaukanal or donau canal is a former arm of the river Danube rather than a canal. 17.3 km long, it is a waterway situated entirely within the city of Vienna, Austria: it bifurcates from the main river in Döbling and joins it again in Simmering.
On the way to Moldova, COBBER from the seaKAYAKCOBBER adventure on Sealevel-blog had to go upstream the Main and Main-donau canal to reach the Donau.
His journey is amazing to me, he paddled over 2400 kilometer on the Donau. Passing many countries and different cultures.
