ottawa river

Anyone out there paddled the ottawa river i.e. main channel in a solo or tandem canoe?

any reports...tips?

My wife and I are moving to the shoreline near Constance Bay and plan to do a ton of paddling all up and down the Ottawa, but we haven't done much lately, last year a few times between Britannia and Shirley's Bay area, which is awesome in the fall because the motorboats have mostly gone to sleep.
