I know very little about canoes, only that as a teenager, many years ago, we used to have a lot of fun with them at summer camp on a small placid lake. I am looking for something to use for fishing on small lakes and ponds. I have not been able to find much information on the web about Coleman Ram-X canoes. Are they something to be avoided or would they work for this situation. Any help would be appreciated.

Our School shares a bunch of RAM - X 17 canoes with another high school. They were purchased before I got here and I could shoot the person who threw the money away on them. As far as I'm concerned Coleman canoes are just junk.
