Hi,

I just stumbled on this website! it looks great!
I am from Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario, Canada.
I Live on the Goulais river with great access to Superior.
I am just starting a stripper Kayak. I have building plans from Redfish Custom Kayak for the "Spring Run". Sure hope to be done for an early summer launch.
I would love to hear from others that are also in the building process.

Hi Rick,
I live in Manistique, MI. A couple hours west of you. I live in the shore of Lake Michigan. I am looking at building my first strip this summer/fall. I am using Nick Shade's design of Great Auk. Keep in touch. I would love to hear how building goes for you.

Hi Doug,

Thanks for the reply!
Lots of ICE and cold weather still hanging about, Cant wait too see the end of it.

I will most likely be constructing the strong back in the next couple of weeks. I want to take my time building the forms and ensure that they are spot on and durable enough to last a couple of builds. Also need to stagger out the expense for each stage.

I havn't been through to Manistique but I am sure it is a nice area. We are lucky to live in this area.
