Can anyone suggest places to paddle in the Northumberland Straight, NB area or NS? We've been to Kouchibougouac...it was great. Thinking of Pictou area. http://www.geocities.com/new_old_boats/oldboat/ index.htm

The South shore of NS is a great paddling area. Lots of islands and bays. Chester, Mahone Bay, Lunenburg, Le Havre, Liverpool. Port Mouton to name a few...

Or the Bras d'Or lakes in Cape Breton - most anywhere, but particularly around Marble Mountain, Malagawatch areas.

Or the Eastern Shore (east of Halifax) area.

There are really too many choices, all very good.

If you can, get a copy of Sea Kayaking in Nova Scotia by Scott Cunningham, published by Nimbus Publishing Ltd. I have the 1996 edition, but there is an updated edition release this year or last. He lists a number of trips.
