It was a Google group search that got me to the original thread here about a powered kayak so I focused on it. I also like the forums of newsgroups if the topic is of interest to multiple participants. Yes, I have discovered some other interesting discussions sort of related. One was a group of engineering folks kicking around ideas for pedal powering a kayak with paddlewheels and other devices. I'm afraid their technical formula and jargon went way over my head but between it I found they had some fun ideas.

I did enjoy a quick stop at your web photo gallery and would also like to see the gal's photos of the river you mention. I'm just getting back to the internet after a two year break. A lot has changed and I've got to get a handle on it ... especially the possibility of a web site for sharing photos & video.

I now live in and travel in a motorhome. Currently I'm connected via a wireless network I'm helping a friend setup at his home. He recently got a high speed satellite hookup so I'm really enjoying it and also the hotshot PC we're assembling for his wife. Looks like 'Wi-Fi'ing' is in my future.

Only problem, now, is that I sit here, late morning, exchanging stares at my computer screen and glances out my window ... a beautiful crisp sparkling, sunlit scene ... fresh green grasses breaking through the mat of last season's blown down fields ... this foothill view spreads to a panorama below ... between majestic naked oaks is a unusually clear, hazeless, view of the city of Sacramento. After dismal days of low clouds and rain hummmm, I sense a choice!!! AH HA! Bye for now William!

Oh! by the way where is your favorite place to paddle? I'd like to check it out on a map and maybe see some photos .... sometime after sundown. ;>

Hi, I was browsing the group when I came across your post. I am also looking at putting a PWM circuit together although for a completly different vehicle (electric assist bike). If you would be interested in doing a combined such or spliting a parts order from digikey drop me a line.

Best of luck
