Hi all just wanted to talk about my next adventure. This sat I will be escort/safety kayaker for the Manhattan Island Marathon Swim (MIMS) Its a 28.5 course around Mahhattan. (29 for us Kayakers who have to launch further up then paddle back if we want to see our swimmer finish.) Each swimmer has a saftey boat and 2 paddlers so we can get a little break. We will be in our boats for about 9+ hours so its going to be fun. I will be bringing my waterproof camera so I'll get some shots then post a blog about it after the event.

Wowwwwww Jules !! That's so exciting I hope -and know- you will have a great time and look forward to seeing the photos.

That's a long time to paddle. I think my arms would fall off if I went longer than 5 straight hours.

My main worry is if I really gotta go! Our speed wont be fast and because of the swimmers we will have the tides and currents to our advantage.

It was awsome!! I just got back,I will write a blog ang upload photos in a day or 2 I'm waiting to get the swimmers' crews photos plus Im exhausted!
