Kayaking Pukaskwa Park in Canada

I am planning on Kayakying Pukaskwa Park in Ontaria this summer. Anyone here done that trip...starting at Marathon?

I have not done that trip but I know someone who has by canoe and all I remember him saying is that it is gorgeous. It was supposedly a very hair raising trip in a canoe so much so that they kissed land when they arrived. Have a great time! How long are you going for? I'm just a little envious.

I just got back from my trip. It was awesome! I will compare all future Great Lakes kayaking trips to this one....every night we stayed in gorgeous campgrounds all by our selves....we were out 8 days and saw a single kayaker and a group of 3 kayakers.....we caught two Lake Trout, two Salmon and two Northerns along the way....nothing like fishing from a kayak and landing, cleaning and then cooking over an open fire...fresh fish. I would not go again in August....too many high winds...we had "high wind warnings" every single day and encountered some very large waves. I would definetly take the trip again but would go in June.

Sounds incredible....I guess it's a trip you need quite a bit of experience to keep up with the waves. This will be definitely a goal of mine for the future.

Chrismar map was great....water resistant....just enough detail..worked great
