The weather was great over the weekend and the Lake Trout fishermen were in full force. No ice anywhere although I did see a patch of snow on the way up. The Amable du Fond river is nice and high, no beaver dam, still had to make that first portage though. Right now is the perfect combination of moderate weather with no mosquitoes. Better hurry up and take a trip before the armies are formed.

Did you get any Lakers? We were on Manitou on the weekend of 28-30 April, and only got one trout. That's the first year we got skunked.
