I have just started Kayaking this summer, and love it so much that I am already putting thought to how one would do it in the winter? How do you keep warm? Especially how do you keep your feet warm?

This year, I decided I would kayak in the winter. I bought the following:
a wetsuit,
a nylon/blend outfit to wear underneath the wetsuit,
Neoprene gloves
Neoprene booties
I've seen socks meant to be worn with the booties but I didn't get those.

Dress for the water in the winter, I paddle in air temps of 13 degrees F and there will be ice on the water. What I wear for those extremes is a Drysuit, polar flece, and poly pro long jons. Basically wear layers and NEVER wear cotton in the winter. Gloves or Poggies (Poggies are mittens attached to the paddle) Muclucks (neopreme flece lined boots) A pfd (A absulute must!) and a neopreme hood
