How to fix ribs (wooden) in a fiberglass canoe?

Assuming they can not be replaced and have to be repaired in place.

Have you thought about splinting them? Make two splints shaped the same as the rib. Place one splint on either side of the rib, bolt/screw and glue them to the rib.

I've seen this type of technique used on beams in old buildings. Not sure how well it applies to your situation. Your mileage may vary.
