help! i need a kayak BAD!!!

i am a 13-year-old girl and i am interested in buying a second-hand fiberglass sit-in one-person sea touring kayak with a rudder. if anyone knows what a reasonable price is and where i should look then please help me! i live on the west coast of bc canada and if you know of any vital items or tips that i would need to go kayaking then please tell me. i know almost nothing about kayaking Also i have absolutely no idea how to choose a paddle!!! thank you to anybody who helps me...

first off, i wouldnt get a fiberglass. Get a Plastic. It dosent look as good, but if you beach your fiberglass chances are you'll scrach the hell outta ut. Plus its cheaper. If i were you, goto the MEC store in Vancouver, they will be able to help you more than I/anyone could really since they can show you whats available. And for the $5 membership fee, you get some good deals there too!
