Fine to see that there is a newsgroup for paddlers. Here in Northern Finland we have excellent rivers for paddling in wildlife areas. I enjoy it.

Please be aware, however that the 'ott' part of the name stands for Ottawa, Canada. This newsgroup was set up by local people for discussion of canoeing and kayaking in the Ottawa area (and not world-wide!) - please see the charter which is posted regularly.
