HAMILTON AREA - Newer Paddler Looking For People to Sea-Kayak With

I have been sea-kayaking for 5 years now, but only day trips out of Algonquin, and only for two weeks out of the year. I used to race flat water sprint when I was younger, so I am familiar with all of the basics.

None of my friends or family are interested in camping or paddling, so here I am, looking to hook up with someone.

I understand this is an Ottawa area newsgroup, but perhaps you may be able to forward this on to someone local to me.

In case it matters, I am a 31 year old male.

If you are looking for a local sea kayaking group, you should check out the Great Lakes Sea Kayaking Association. Mostly centered around the Toronto area, but there are members from all over. They do trips ranging from day trips around Toronto Islands to extended trips to Georgian Bay and beyond. This is a link to their web site.

Hi there, I live in the general vicinity of Hamilton and just stumbled across this site!

I noticed you posted this a while ago, are you still paddling? I'm in the same situation...I managed to get my sister hooked but then she went and got pregnant....so she doesn't quite fit in her kayak this summer!

I paddle the mouth of the credit river from Port Credit and venture into the lake a bit. If either of you want to meet up in Port Credit sometime let me know.
