Good way to clean a pot?

Not sure, no coating, very light. Not titanium, bought it in a dollar store. From the replies, sounds like I'll just have to scrub the thing. Can't stomach the very idea of soap accidently getting into food, and this man of leisure is on a budget, so until I burn a hole through it...

Did you try to boil water in it ?....That should loosen most of it...let it boil for about 20 minutes and it should come clean.
