Hi
I know this sounds weird, but it turns out, that some yaks, my Derks Burn included are probematic for girls being made for a mans hips, and there for cutting of the circulation to my legs... and making them fall asleep.
would anyone have any Idea how I could Girl proof my boat a bit, or do you know anyone who has worked it out and can talk me through it?
Thanks

I know this It is said that sea kayaks are worn like clothes they are fitted to each indidual. The best solution would be to get a wider or bigger boat. one that fits. Necky and other brands do make just for women. (ie the neck eliza)
Paddlin' a P&H Quest LV or a Current Designs Kestrel 120 TCS all over the Garden State!!

Waterproof = resists water; Girl-proof = resists girls. Looks like your kayak is somewhat girl-proof just kidding.

While I am not a girl, I do have problems with my legs falling asleep (mostly my left one) on long paddles. One thing that has alleviated it is one of those inflatable themarest-type seat cushions. I blow it up then sit on it and let as much air until it is comfortable. it compensates for the inappropriate curves of the seat, and the slight squishiness allows the buttocks a bit of movement and momentarily relieves pressure points.
