East River Waterfront Park

Queens East River waterfront has recently made quite a progress and is longer what it used to be. Pollution level was radically dropped over the last several years and there are plans to further improve it.
People who bought houses on the river bank several years a go are lucky bastard Social economic situation around the area was also improved to say the least.

And for some time now a great effort is put in place to improve the park and its facilities, including kayaking on the area.

the Long Island City Community Boathouse already offers free weekly kayaking on the East River from Hallets Cove, just south of the Astoria Houses. But boathouse volunteers must presently lug their equipment from a storage room nearly a mile and a half away.

Though I wasn’t there yet, I think it’s sure worth a visit for anyone around NYC.
