I paddled there last weekend - the water was warm (t-shirt, lifevest shorts and aquasocks). The level was a bit above summer lows which meant not as many rockgardens. It was a few inches below the bottom of the car bridge at teh takeout in the camping ground.
The side-surfing hole right near the falls on river left wasn't very sticky (but good for a small playboat) and the ender hole above the chute SHOULD have been good but something's happened to it since last fall (I heard rumors that the ledge gave way a bit and therefore it's not as good as it used to be).
It rained in Toronto last night for a few hours - if the rain was the same in Elora/Ferus, then Saturday might see a *bit* more water.
At any rate, it's beautiful and very safe this time of year.
Enjoy, Dean Reeds
