I have a 16 foot canoe with a regular stern (not square) and I'd like to put an electric motor clamped to the side for fishing. A friend gave me the idea. Has anyone done this before? Any recomendations for the motor I should use?

Yes, I've done that before. It was a long time ago though. I recall little more than a piece of wood on the inside of the canoe to mount it and it worked great.
