Do I need permits to kayak in Missouri? Are the any rules that I need to be aware of? All I could find online where rules for motorized water crafts.

I think there's no need for permits for privately owned canoes and kayaks. If you go in/out on someone's private land, make sure to ask them if it's okay or even offer to pay.
