Hello all;
Looking at buying one of the the kayaks from the trekreation line and I was wondering if anyone else out there has one and could comment? I tried searching for the web for reviews, but didn't find a whole heck of a lot.
Likewise, any recommendations on touring/recreation kayaks for newbies.
thx.

I have purchased 2 kayaks recently - aDimension R5 which I really like, and a Manteo from Wilderness Systems. The Manteo is a wider and has more room and a waterproof compartment. Both are quite nice for my wife and I and we are absolute beginners. We spend our time in the Welland Canal - a recreational part running through town.
Take a look at Langfordcanoe.com. They have a travelling roadshow, and advertise new and used. We purchased one from offroad sports near Peterborough - they deliver (the R5) and one locally at a Pitch, Paddle and Pack day put on by a local store.

Thank you for your comments. We were first considering the R5 as a kayak show came through Ottawa and was 'special' on which included a paddle. Our main objection to the r5 was the small opening.
We will probably be taking a second look at the R5 though, as it is more within budget.
