I am thinking of planning a trip up the Rideau Canal from Kingston next summer. I hear there are some attractive places along it. But then it really depends on what kind of water you are looking for. Most of my canoeing is in remote areas of New England. The Rideau will be like paddling down Main Street for me I guess...but I bet there are some comfy bed and breakfasts and pubs along the way.
