Hi all,
I have kayaked for a while now and I am trying to learn some tricks but I am having trouble. I have watched movies and read books but they do not seem to help any. I am now beginning to wonder if I am in the wrong boat. I am riding a Wave Sport Big EZ. I am 6-1 and weigh 150 lbs. This is the lower limit for the big EZ but I am to tall for the for the Wavesport EZ. I am not very muscular but I am fit. I am trying to learn a bow initiation or bow stall but no mater how hard I try to sink my bow it shoots up out of the water. It seems like there is to much air volume. I have tried to find someone that can do it to show me how but as of yet I can't. If I hold onto the edge of the pool and put a little water in my boat I can get up but that seems cheating and would almost be impossible to do with just a paddle. I have to really rock the boat back and forth several times... I understand the concept of the double pump but does it require heman strength or can this be done by your average joe with the right technique. Would another boat be easier for me to learn in. Any advice would be much appreciated. Thanks

I wish I knew but I have no real knowledge of bow initiation or bow stall but if you have to apply so much strengh you are probably too light for the boat
