Hi everyone, I am looking for a group if there is one that talks about Ely and the boundry waters outfitters. A friend and our two sons are plkanning a boundary waters canoe trip in Aug. I would like advice from more experienced paddlers. Also which outfitters do you recommend or not? We would be looking for a complete package for our first experince into this area. Any help would be appreciated and if I am in the wrong group please advise of another news group closer to what I am looking for. Thanks B.A.

Try rec.boats.paddle.touring.

Try some of the MN pages. Do a Web search (my fav is http://www.google.com) and plug in boundary waters, outfitters, and Minnesota. If you're sure you want to enter at Ely, plug that in, too. There are lots* of outfitters at all major entries to the BWAC who not only will be happy to serve you, but who have Web pages to make it convenient.
