I remember once hearing about a book describing the canoe routes to Moosonee. Anyone know the title?

Thanks,

'Canoeing Ontario's Rivers' by Ron Reid and Janet Grand details the Missinabai-Moose River route to Moosonee.

I also highly recommend Hap's book. His rapid descriptions are spot on, and the book has much else to offer.

We did the Lower Missinaibi trip last year and had a great time. You may find the following of some interest:

Thanks everyone for your help. I went to MEC last weekend and got Hap Wilson's Missinaibi 'Journey to the northern sky'. It was surprisingly cheap for only $10. We also got a few more books such as 'Canoeing Safety and Rescue' and 'The Wilderness Paddler's Handbook' for a quick refresher course since we will be going solo. Last but not least, was 'Canoe Trippers' Cookbook II' by Carol Hodgins. Wow, I think we will eat very well during this trip!

Again thanks,

Moosonee here we come!!!

Daniel
