Hi, I have been to both, tho only paddled Frontneac - which would be my choice. There are a couple of nice loop trips there, fairly easy portages. Campsite 13 (I think) can be super in the fall with the leaves in colour. Yes Ontario Parks are getting expensive, but the staff at Frontneac are great. ood luck.

Frontenac gets my vote. Bon Echo a little too crowded. Most of Frontenac has a motorboat ban or the lakes are too hard to get to for motors.

Hardwood bay has an excellent set of campsites, and 'USUALLY' the bugs are neglible that time of year. Definately check on the reservations, capacity for the park is relatively limited.
