g'day mate we are a family of 4 (two young kids), what sort of canoe should we look at? any idea's would be much appreciated. cheers.

I assume the kids are too young to paddle their own canoe. That would be the best option. If you will be canoeing lakes and tame rivers MAD RIVER CANOES make a model called the Lamoille. It is 18'6' very stable and nice to paddle. It will hold a family of four easily. In kevlar it only weighs 60 pounds
