Archive? Royalex vs Royalite..

Hello, I am new to the newsgroup and was wondering if anyone could tell me how to get ahold of archived threads. Thanks. Also I am considering buying a used Old Town 'Camper' canoe made of Royalite. I have never read about this stuff before. Is it more or less the same as Royalex? I would like to use the canoe for tripping and light white water..anyone have any opinions? Thanks,

Absolutely, since you saw fit to be snarky about no one answering your first question.

You could have made a single phone call to any canoe outlet listed in the yellow pages, or you could have searched on the www. That would have got you started. With a bit of information, you would have been able to ask any detailed question you wanted and found useful replies on the group in a few hours. There are people here who will be very helpful, if you show that you care enough to help yourself.

Thanks for the feedback. I had looked around but had not found any sites with qualitative comparisons for these two products (I noticed that Royalite was lighter but I was not sure at what cost). Also confusing is the fact that Old Town has apparently not made 'Camper' models out of Royalite in 'decades' (just found this out from the manufacturer) so I guess the canoe I am looking at buying is a bit older than I thought .
