I have paddled around the Carquinez Straits, Napa River, (upper and lower) and around some other waterways in southern Solano and Napa Counties, California.

Are there other kayakers from the above areas in this Kayaking Buddies group?

Seen that there have been no reactions to this, I must assume not many kayakers here have paddled those waters, Oldkayaker

An old friend of mine used to kayak on the northern parts of SF, but he was more into sea kayaking over the Ocean.
Do you want me to check up on him?
BTW - do people paddle on the bay itself?

The section of the Sacramento River where it empties into the northern end of SF Bay is called the Carquinez Straits.

I have paddled in the Straits up to the bridge which marks the border where river meets bay; but, I have only stuck my bow into the SF Bay and then turned around to come back into the Straits. (see my ID photo)

I have also paddled the narrow waterway where the Napa River empties into the northern end of SF Bay; but, I am not sure the name of that section of the Napa River. I just call it Lower Napa River.

It appears that most of the current members are primarily Eastern US paddlers.

Well, I can see you have done a fair deal of paddling on those waters

It doesn't matter that it seems most members here are probably from the Eastern US because we see many new readers all the time and of those some may come from the region in the U.S. you are from and end up registering
