I was given a well-nut deck rigging kit to put on my Otter XT. Has anyone done this before and if so, what measurements did you use? Did you rig the front or back of the kayak?

Hi guys my 2 cents where you intsall is really your own prefrence (unless the kit is specific) usually requires basic measuring and drilling. If you mount the kit on the front the water tightness doesnt matter. if your otter has a waterproof hatch then the back you have to seal it. I hope this helps

let me ask you a question What do you want to tie down (You can get specific tie down kits like a paddle park ect,,)
You can get all types of rigging my best advice is go to a local paddler shop. A good shop will have every thing plus some other kayaks you can get ideas from. I bought my rudder kit locally. then figured how to install it buy looking at the other boats rith rudders.
