Well I'm finally going to take the plunge & buy a new Canoe, but I have a few questions I would appreciate being answered:

I mainly flatwater canoe...algonquin park type stuff...7-10 day trips... 2 maybe 3 ppl at a time.

The Canoes I have my eye on are :

Scott Advantage at 17' 4'

Scott Trillium 17'

I was also looking into the Evergreeen canoes, the 17' Maple seems like a nice boat but I haven't heard a thing about their Canoes except from their salesmen & their load capacity seems a bit fantastic at 1250 lbs in Kevlar.

Asymetrical or Symetrical?!?!!?!? I've heard Asym is a must for flatwater over Sym to there is no bloody difference at all!! Could really use some opinions on that!!

Again, any opinions, insights, experiences or suggestions would be greatly appreciated! : )

Have a look at the review on the Trillium 17 in the latest Canoe & Kayak.
